As a result, I was appointed to the Public Service Leadership Programme, a talent programme under the ambit of the Prime Minister’s Office.
That’s not all! It was also this very same English Language that enabled me to support myself through my university years, by working as an English tutor, even as I excelled as a multi-year Dean’s-list recipient during my time at the Singapore Management University (SMU).

‘The P5 Drop Is Real’ and your child will experience a tremendous change when facing the Upper Primary English syllabus.
Just last year in 2016, an 11-year old child committed suicide due to poor grades arising from the P5 drop. This prompted MOE to clarify that P5 students tend to see a dip in their results due to changes in the examination format in preparation for the Primary School Leaving Examination – the examination that would determine which Secondary School they are eligible to study in.
